Professional Support

Supervisors

The roles of IDP Supervisor and IDP Mentor should be filled by two separate individuals. While the supervisor can also be the mentor it is not recommended.

It is the responsibility of the supervisor to verify training. In supervising an IDP intern-architect the supervisor is acting as an agent of the state (via MA registration Board).

>> All Firms should have an inhouse IDP Coordinator. This position is defined within the AIA so resources can be better provided to this individual. The indivdual would be considered an Auxilary IDP Coordinator; see a position description: here.
