Committee members have been very busy this past month. The COTE "subcommittee" reacting to the Bush/Cheney Energy Bill has been meeting regularly to draft a letter of response, and ultimately, a new strategy for sustainable energy use and supply. Henry MacLean is taking his Government Center project to the next level, by entering the realm of state politics, and enlisting the help of COTE. I have just returned from a brief tour of "Green Consultants" (around California) to seek out clues for more effective green building intervention and advocacy. And a few other members have been in touch about various ideas and exploits. With Deane off in China to pick up his new adopted baby girl, we felt that this would be a good month to take the formality down a notch, and allow some opportunity for the group to catch up on one another's' projects, inspirations, and latest discoveries.
