Martine Dion
Associate with Symmes Maini & McKee, Associates, Cambridge MA

Martine is a project architect at Symmes Maini McKee Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture, and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and is certified by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board as well as registered in Quebec. Martine has more than eight years of experience in architectural design for corporate, advanced technology, manufacturing and health science clients. Martine is now at the forefront of the development of SMMA's green design practice. She attends the BSA-Committee on the Environment (COTE) monthly meetings.

Charlotte Matthews
Sustainable Building Specialist at Payette Associates, Boston MA

Charlotte holds a B.S. in environmental science, with a focus in architecture, from Brown University. Charlotte has worked on a number of institutional laboratory projects, facilitating architecture and MEP coordination to enhance systems performance and innovation for resource conservation. Charlotte has made numerous presentations to green building groups, organizations, and University audiences. Charlotte joined Payette Associates in 1999 to serve as their on-staff Sustainable Building Specialist. She is currently consulting on three projects: an institution laboratory, a corporate campus master plan, and an island residence. Charlotte has been co-chair of the BSA-Committee on the Environment (COTE) since January, 2001.

Deane Rykerson, AIA NCARB
Principal of Rykerson Architecture, Cambridge MA

Deane has been involved in building, environment and design for over twenty-five years from his background in woodworking/boat building to his present expertise in historic preservation and sustainable design. With degrees from the State University of New York, Boston Architectural Center, and Harvard University, his work has been published in Boston Magazine, Fine Homebuilding, Harvard Visions 1996, and frequently contributes to the Boston Society of Architects ChapterLetter. He has presented and led seminars at Build Boston, Restoration '95 and '97, and the 1998 AIA national convention. He has taught at the Wentworth Institute of Technology and is a recipient of an Appropriate Technology Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and served on the design juries for the Rotch Scholarship, the New York/BSA sustainable design awards, and the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association design competition. A member of the Boston Society of Architects, he is active in the Historic Resources Committee and a former co-chair of the BSA-Committee on the Environment (COTE). He is co-chair of the Massachusetts Green Building Coalition which has brought a Green Building Tax Credit to the State Legislature in 2001.

Michelle Salisbury
Senior Analyst at the Cadmus Group, Waltham, MA

Michelle Salisbury is a Senior Analyst at the Cadmus Group, an environmental consulting firm based in Waltham, which is under contract with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to implement and promote ENERGY STARŅ. For Cadmus, Michelle supports several ENERGY STAR initiatives, including ENERGY STAR Buildings, the ENERGY STAR Purchasing Initiative, and the ENERGY STAR public finance initiative. She works closely with local, state and federal agencies, K-12 school districts, and colleges and universities to assist them in procuring ENERGY STAR labeled products and in using the ENERGY STAR online benchmarking tool. Prior to working at Cadmus, Michelle worked as a Research Assistant at Neuberger Berman, researching stock and mutual fund performance. Michelle is an honors graduate of Wesleyan University with a degree in psychology and government. She is a Board Member of the Greater Boston Group of the Sierra Club.
