COTE Meeting Minutes for October 2002
July 10, 2002
BSA Building, 52 Broad Street, Fifth Floor
Agenda
We culminate our third semester of the 'new' COTE curriculum
prior to
the summer break with a case study discussion / mini charette.
Bill Green, Coordinator for the Renewable Energy/Sustainable
Design
Island Alliance, Boston Harbor Islands, and several of his colleagues,
will join our committee meeting to discuss the development of
the
Spectacle Island Visitor's Center. Using the Spectacle Island
experience as a case study of a project that set out "to
do right by
the environment", it is the goal for our meeting to evolve
into a
learning session on how to make a better pass at updating, renovating
and creating new infrastructure development in the Boston Harbor
Islands National Park Area.
As we are not officially scheduling an August meeting, we are
planning
a time during that month in which interested persons can meet
to
informally discuss the direction of this committee. We will set
a time
and location for this forum at our July meeting.
Finally, the sub-committee organizing the 10 Shades of Green
exhibit is
still recruiting people with interest in volunteering time towards
the
effort. Please contact either Chris Leary (cleary@tsa-arch.com)
or Ken Fisher (ken_fisher@gensler.com) if
you are interested.
We look forward to seeing everyone. Coffee and breakfast treats
provided.
