- How much does the event cost? The event is free for two adults accompanied by children.
- Do I need to pre-register my family ot group? Pre-registration is required for this event.
- When can I register my family for the event? Registration begins at the end of April. More information on registration can be provided by the ICA Family Programs
- Can my children participate without adult supervision? At least one adult must accompany children throughout the building process. Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate and enjoy the experience with the kids.
- How long is the event? The activity should take approximately 2 hours from check-in to certificate of occupancy depending on wait-time at the Construction Yard.
- May we take home our model once we are complete? Models are not allowed to leave the ICA auditorium. The city is created by the collective effort of many groups and families. If models were removed then other participants would not be able to view ICA-city in its entirety.
- How do I get there via public transportation? The ICA is within a short walk to the Silver Line's Courthouse station. Consult the MBTA's Trip planner for more information at www.mbta.com
- I don't have time to volunteer at the event but how can I help out? KidsBuild! is always looking for art supplies, materials, monetary and printing service donations. We are asking architecture and design firms to contribute material for the construction of buildings. Please contact Kidsbuild_Donations@yahoo.com
- My office is cleaning out our material library, what materials can be donated? where can I drop them off? and when? All sample materials are encouraged including: fabric, tile, rubber, etc. We will be accepting material donations beginning in April 8, April 21, and May 7 at 6pm at Beacon Architectural Associates.
